a hotel in a superb Alpine valley, right in Hintertux at the glacier railway, far removed from the hustle and bustle and the traffic of the big cities. Alpine meadows and pastures stretched out around this wonderful hotel, which was surrounded by a superb mountain backdrop. It is particularly peaceful and relaxing in Tuxertal, just as calm and tranquil as it was almost one hundred years ago.

 That's why a down-to-earth approach and humanity are a major and important concept in the Alpenhof.  Over the years the original B&B became a popular hotel, which attracted a large number of regular visitors. People came from all points of the compass, since no other place offered better pure fun skiing, peace, quiet and relaxation than here. Many visitors came back to the Alpenhof again and again, becoming regular guests and they have been enjoying the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere for years. Everyone in the hotel, from the Trainee to Receptionist, from Head Chef to Chambermaid, always diligently see to guests' needs with a lot of passion, which means every guest will enjoy this magical place and immediately sense: “I feel just right here – this is where I want to be!”.

People who have been coming here from all points of the compass had it right, since they were coming in search of peace and relaxation so they could really enjoy their holiday. They wanted just one thing in this relaxed atmosphere, namely to be really indulged. And since there is nowhere else more pleasant and easier to relax than in the Alpenhof, they came back again and again. Since they knew what awaited them: the most welcoming of greetings by the landlords and their team. How different it might have been - in the course of the years more and more people came to this enchanted place - to the lovely rooms, the superb view, lovely cuisine and that very special service. Yet it happened, as happen it must, that the hotel was bursting at the seams and quite simply more room was needed for the sheer number of guests.

The years passed and in 2006 the time was ripe for big changes. According to the maxim “We are staying just as we are, only better!”, Gabi and Klaus Dengg decided that it was time for their dream of a wonderful, cosy top-class hotel to come true. So off they went on their travels again, and after many intense discussions and long conversations they were finally in agreement. Since they had undertaken to do something quite special – the old hotel had to make way for a completely new, modern, high quality hotel. And all that in a planned construction period of just 8 months! They also set their mind that it had to be exclusively clean, pure and natural. The entire family toiled for three quarters of the year, Klaus and Klaus jun. as contractors and organisers, Gabi as the interior designer, planner and decorator.

Every detail was selected with a lot of love and devotion. Guests have been delighted by the new Hotel Alpenhof****Superior since December 2006 with its fine dining rooms, the spacious and relaxing spa area VITALIS, along with the cosy and luxurious suites. Little guests also got their own playroom and also a 160 m² gym. Not to forget the stylish bar, inviting outdoor areas, the superb panorama terrace and much more. And you can see that all the effort and major commitment has borne fruit, as was hoped.

Now the **** Superior was lit above the doorway – no other hotel in Hintertux had achieved that – not even to date …
