Cancellation & hygiene policy

All you need to know about your holiday in these extraordinary times.

We have adjusted our cancellation policy for your holiday and drawn up a careful action plan to ensure that you can enjoy a carefree holiday with us in Hintertux.

Cancellation policy and cancellation insurance

For all booked stays until 01.05.2022 the following cancellation conditions apply:

  • You may cancel your booking free of charge until 48h before your arrival.
  • After that 100% of the arrangement price will be charged in case of cancellation.

Europäische Reiseversicherung cancellation insurance

  • When entering Austria from all countries, the 2G+ rule applies: 
    • Vaccinated or recovered AND PCR-tested. (Test is valid for 72h) 
    • If booster vaccination is available (3rd vaccination), no additional proof of testing is required. People who have recovered from COVID-19 and been vaccinated twice also do not need a PCR test.
    • This applies to persons 12 years and older (Ninja passport excluded, for more information see Vaccinated - Recovered).
  • Check-in at the hotel is only possible by showing proof that you are either fully vaccinated or recovered from a Covid disease (2G rule). This proof is required from the age of 12 years.

  • Only a full immunisation (2 vaccinations or booster) is valid as proof of vaccination.
  • The second vaccination is automatically valid from the day of vaccination for 9 months. As of 1st February, the second vaccination is only valid for 180 days.
  • ATTENTION: A single vaccination with Johnson & Johnson is no longer valid, a booster vaccination is required.


  • Showing a declaration of isolation or a medical confirmation (valid for 6 months after illness)


Children and teenagers: 

  • Children under the age of 12 do not have to show a proof of entry. For school-age children between 12 and 15 years of age, the Austrian "Ninja Pass" or "Holiday Ninja Pass" is valid as proof of entry. With two PCR tests and one antigen test per week, the 2-G proof is fulfilled. PCR tests are valid for 72 hours, antigen tests for 48 hours. The test results are recorded in the "Ninja Pass Holiday", and the respective test certificates must also be carried. The "Ninja Pass Holiday" is only valid if you can consistently show a valid negative test result. You can find more information here: Holiday Ninja Pass FAQ | Holiday Ninja Pass For children aged 16 and older, the 2G rule (vaccinated or recovered) applies. 

  • We also ask you to follow the hygiene measures of our hotel and the instructions of our staff.
  • It is obligatory to wear FFP2 masks in all indoor areas (the hotel, in public transport, godolas, all shops,...). Therefore, we kindly ask you to bring your FFP2 face mask with you. For children outside the hotel, the following rules apply: up to 6 years you do not have to wear a mouth-nose protection, 6 to 13 year olds have to wear a regular mouth-nose protection and from 14 years of age a FFP2 mask is obligatory.

The entire Alpenhof team is well prepared to make sure that you continue to feel safe and looked after throughout your stay, now and in future:

  • Our employees are tested regularly
  • Many of our staff and the host family have already been vaccinated
  • Free cancellation until your day of arrival if Tyrol is classified as a risk area. Otherwise our adjusted cancellation conditions apply for stays until 01.05.2022.
  • With our professional hygiene concept, we keep our guests and ourselves safe.

Tourism in Tyrol operates on the basis of certified safety concepts, and we have signed up to them, too: In 2021, we used the “SAFE SERVICE” training app, a state-of-the-art training tool for our staff. Our hotel has successfully completed the digital training programme on safety issues such as protective measures, distancing, hygiene, and contactless customer service.
