Hike to the Bichlalm
Nature in autumn in Hintertux beckons to enjoy another hike to fully savour the crystal-clear mountain air. A particularly rewarding destination is the rustic Bichlalm, run by the Klausner family. The rustic lodge is located at 1,695 m altitude above Hintertux on the south-eastern slopes of rear Tux Valley and offers impressive views of the Hintertux Glacier.
And in order to enjoy this panorama, there's no need to put up with a long and steep hike: You can get to Bichlalm from Hintertux in just 45 minutes walk. Even prams make it up without any problems. And those who want to make their way up a tad more comfortably, can ride up with the glacier lift to the intermediate terminus of Sommerbergalm and from there walk to the rustic lodge along a gentle slope. After the climb it's time to enjoy: Delicious traditional cooking with fine Zillertal treats, home-made cake and traditional Kaiserschmarrn provide a welcome energy boost. Add to this the beautiful views and refreshing mountain air, making everything taste twice as good. On the alpine pasture, calves, pigs, pygmy sheep and rabbits romp about: Great fun for children exploring the exciting world on the mountain, while the parents can enjoy the sun on the terrace...
