For families, we recommend the Junior Suite Enzian, as well as the Suite Feuerlilie, Suite Goldstern, and Suite Margerite, along with the Alpenhof Suite and Natur-Suite, each of which is suitable for two full-paying guests. The Edelweiss Suite and the Natur-Suite Family are ideal for families with four or more guests.

Children 18 and older pay the full price. Until then, various discounts or flat rates apply depending on age and room type.
Yes, during the Family Specials at Hotel Alpenhof Hintertux (Jan. 10–31, 2026, Apr. 11–19, 2026, Aug. 29–Oct. 3, 2026, and Nov. 7–Nov. 28, 2026), children up to 4 years old stay for free, and children up to 7 years old pay only €40 per child per day. The hotel provides baby monitors, cribs, high chairs, special children's menus, as well as coloring books and crayons. For fun and games, there is a large playroom, a teen lounge, a gym, an indoor pool, and a baby pool.
Although the hotel does not offer childcare, young guests have access to a lovingly decorated playroom where they can play and let off steam.

In the winter, Glacier Flea Luis can be found at the Kidsslopes in Hintertux and Rastkogel, the Funslope in Hintertux, and the Flea Park in Hintertux, where little ones can take their first turns on the slopes.

Families at the Hotel Alpenhof Hintertux enjoy flexible meal times: breakfast from 7:30–10:30 a.m., an afternoon buffet from 1:00–5:00 p.m., and dinner from 6:45–8:45 p.m. featuring a 5-course menu. Special children’s menus ensure that our younger guests can enjoy their meals in a relaxed atmosphere. We are happy to prepare a children’s meal before 6:45 PM and serve it at the hotel bar.
The family area of the spa, which includes a swimming pool, family sauna, and family steam room, is open to guests of all ages. Access to the nude and relaxation areas is permitted for guests 14 years of age and older.

The ski resort offers children’s ski lessons and family-friendly activities. At the Tuxertal Children’s Ski School, which includes a ski kindergarten, children learn to ski through play; there is also a practice slope in Hintertux. You can find more information here.
