There’s plenty to experience on a winter vacation in the Zillertal. Whether it’s adventures on the slopes, swimming fun, games, or relaxation—here at the Alpenhof, every family member gets to enjoy themselves. Shared experiences bring us even closer together, because after all, it’s the little adventures we love to look back on: The snowball fight when Dad fell flat on his face, the ski race when Grandma had to push her grandchild across the finish line, little sister’s first strokes in our indoor pool. Children and teens benefit from our special programs, which are tailored entirely to their needs.
Winter fun in the fresh air
For little skiers, carrying heavy skis is often incredibly tiring. Luckily, the Alpenhof in Hintertux is just a one-minute bus ride from the valley station of the Hintertux Glacier. In the glacier ski area, every skier and snowboarder, regardless of age and skill level, will find suitable runs. Children’s ski instructors ensure that even our youngest guests become true speedsters on the slopes. They’re supported in this by Luis the Glacier Flea: baby lifts, magic carpets, and children’s carousels make for a carefree first ski experience at the Flohpark Hintertux.
With a little experience, children can try their hand at freestyle on the Kids and Fun Slope. A fun course with steep turns and snow tunnels puts their skills to the test. There’s also plenty to discover off the slopes. The Natur Eis Palast, the fascinating Spannagel Cave, nighttime tobogganing adventures, and the Funbiathlon delight young and old alike. When it's stormy and snowing outside
Our 65-square-meter playroom is a paradise for little ones—there are no limits to their playfulness and creativity here. Kids who love to move around will feel right at home in our gym. Playing soccer, climbing a ladder, doing cartwheels—it’s just wonderful to run around carefree in a dry space. A laid-back teen lounge invites the “older kids” to play foosball, pool, watch TV, or play video games.
The water lovers among you can splash around in our 128 m² indoor pool. The separate baby pool right next to it makes the little ones’ hearts race. The kids are also welcome in the family steam room, the family relaxation room, and the family bio-sauna, where the whole gang can treat themselves to a well-deserved break.
In winter, the park next to our house has a special charm: in the meter-deep snow, you can build amazing castles, igloos, and snowmen. Of course, nothing stands in the way of a snowball fight or two—there’s plenty of space.
