Your active holiday in Hintertux
Our activity programme adds yet another facet to your holiday. All year round, we give guests the opportunity of joining in a range of sports activities. Our sports guide Steffi, herself an outdoor person and nature enthusiast, will show you the most stunning locations in Hintertux together with her colleagues. This way, everyone can conquer their own personal summit, independent of age or level of fitness.
Summer activity programme
In summer, we offer five to ten guided hikes every day. There is also the option of joining in guided e-bike tours with routes of varying difficulty and length. In addition, Klaus junior leads a hike to the hotel’s own Schrofenalm pasture once a week, complete with a “Hüttenjause” platter.
The sunrise tour with mountain breakfast (surcharge applies) is particularly popular. Together, we’ll be riding up the mountain and then walking for roughly half an hour to a beautiful vantage point. Surrounded by unspoilt nature and a unique mountain panorama, you can watch the sun rising slowly above the mountain peaks when a new day begins in the Alps. After this unforgettable natural spectacle, we will be heading for the mountain hut on the Schrofenalm, where a hearty breakfast awaits.
Winter activity programme
Ski guiding is a fixture in our winter activity programme, with tours being offered two to three times a week. In addition, guests at the Alpenhof may participate in a weekly tobogganing run (surcharge applies) and a fun biathlon with snowshoes and professional laser guns that takes place regularly (all subject to snow conditions).
The torch-lit hike followed by a fondue night is a highly popular fixture in our activity programme (surcharge applies). This atmospheric winter hike takes guests through the idyllic, snow-covered landscape to the Mehlerhaus, a 400-year-old farmhouse, where a warming fondue is served in a rustic setting.
We also offer additional sports activities in accordance with the season and the preferences of our guests. Steffi, our athlete-in-residence, also holds Zumba and Aquagym classes.
