The “Genießerstube”

Small, fine and exclusive. The Genießerstube is a place for and with enjoyment. Relaxing, meeting friends, trying something new and simply taking time for a fine drop of wine and good food - enjoyment at the Alpenhof has many facets.  The Genießerstube offers space for a few visitors only and is therefore a place for special hours. 3-toque-chef Maximilian Stock surprises his guests with creative taste compositions that tickle the palate. His main goal is to unite innovation and regional products without being old-fashioned. As for the selection of products, the focus is on quality and appreciation of nature and the producers. Thus, the finest enjoyment is guaranteed, from the starter to the dessert. The Genießerstube is a real insider tip for all guests in and around Hintertux.

Cooking is an art that requires skill, passion, and experience to excel at it. Our head chef Maximilian Stock ticks all these boxes. The kitchen has been his home for many years, and he has created his very own signature style that he calls “Alpine Taste”. Maximilian was born and grew up in the Tuxertal. After stints all over Austria and the great wide world, he touched down here with us at the Alpenhof in winter 2018, where he now leads his kitchen team from one culinary success to another, with a steady hand and lots of skill.
