The regional culinary concept

As a hotel with award-winning cuisine (1 Michelin star, 3 Gault&Millau toques, 95 points from Falstaff) in the Zillertal, we are committed to preserving our beautiful natural landscape and supporting regional suppliers. After all, visitors to Tyrol want to know what Tyrol tastes like. ‘Bewusst Tirol’ is the seal of quality that makes these efforts visible to the outside world.

At the Alpenhof, we are convinced that the most important ingredients for true enjoyment are right outside our door. Nature, our home, has always been very close to our hearts, which is why we work to preserve and nurture its beauty. By sourcing our products from the region, we contribute to the sustainable promotion of the region and support local producers. For example, we source our beef and veal from our own farm in Obsteig, dairy products come from farmers in Hintertux, bread is freshly baked by the Stock village bakery, and fruit and vegetables come from the Inn Valley. The short delivery routes and the high quality of the products are ultimately the big secret behind the fine taste.

“There is no need to travel the world for high-level cooking. We serve our guests the things that grow and thrive in our region. Authentic, honest quality from suppliers we know personally. Our unique culinary creations result from tried-and-tested elements being combined in new ways, or by emphasising aromas that surprise our guests. For us, this is what creative cooking is all about. Michelin star 2025

With its first Michelin star, the Genießerstube shines brighter than ever and sets new standards in culinary enjoyment. A well-deserved accolade for sustainable delicacies and regional sophistication – in addition to the existing 3 toques from Gault&Millau and 4 forks from Falstaff. These prestigious awards not only honour the outstanding performance of the Alpenhof, but also the diverse cuisine of the Tux region. A milestone for local gastronomy and a real treat for all gourmets!
